A Good Look at the Lean Belly Prescription


We all know that aquiring a lot of belly fat can be a problem. Not only will it give us those ugly and embarrassing "muffin tops", it can add pressure to our bodies and contribute to things like diabetes, coronary issues and more. There is a new book, however, named The Lean Belly Prescription that, according to the marketing, will help you lose your muffin top while simultaneously improving your health. This book has plenty of reviews already and we wanted to know if it was a lot better than anything else that people are already buying so we decided to take a look.

The book is available through regular bookselling outlets like Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble and Borders. This is a superb indicator because it adds legitimacy to the venture. It may also help make it less difficult to buy because you don't have to be worried about some affiliate giving a trumped up review to ensure they earn a commission on a product that doesn't help you. The book is also composed by Travis Stork. You most likely recognize him as one of the medical doctors from the syndicated show "The Doctors" and as a reality contestant on "The Bachelor." Obviously, though, he's more than a tv persona. He is a real medical doctor who works in an emergency room at a reputable hospital.

Dr. Stork uses the book to market his Pick 3 to Lean program. Pick 3 to Lean is a program that allows you to modify your eating and lifestyle habits but doesn't push you to spend a bunch of time working out. This program claims that you will be able to lose fat and never have to abstain from any of the things you like the most (food, free time, etc). The plan is focused on the N.E.A.T (or Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis) theory. This is a idea that states that you can burn calories and not do lots of exercise.

From what we are able to see, the book makes lots and lots of promises but won't offer any new or important information. In fact, the majority of the suggestions within this book can be found through a few simple Google searches and basic common sense. It is going to be very disappointing for those who were searching for a real reason behind the instructions the book gives. The book doesn't dig into principle a lot. Instead it basically provides readers with a collection of outlines and instructions to follow. This is a great book for someone who enjoys being given instructions but doesn't like to bother about why the instructions are given.

Traditional reason tells us that the only strategy to really lose fat is to eat right and exercise. This book doesn't use that common logic so there isn't any real way to tell whether or not it will work the way the marketing promises it will. However, in this era, with a doctor's blessing (your own medical doctor, not the author of the book), nearly anything is worth at least a cursory glance!
